The Cowtown Computer Congress (CCCKC) was formed in 2008 to create a shared space for local technology enthusiasts to meet, collaborate on group projects, share tools and to support Kansas City's technology community. Every other month, the Beagle Society provides a venue for interested adults (18 and older) to meet, discuss a topic, listen to a presentation, and socialize. Previous sessions have include a presentation on fossils of the Kansas Sea, social networking, genetics, a viewing of the film Flock of Dodos, and a visit to the rare book room at the Linda Hall Library of Science and Techology on the campus of the University of Missouri - Kansas City.
