Meet in the private room at Mangia Pizza at 8012 Mesa Blvd. We'll watch a video, maybe discuss plans for World Space Week,
and just chat in general. Free food for the first two newbies! :) Videos available are: When We Left Earth (4 discs), In the Shadow
of the Moon, Roving Mars, and The Mars Underground. World Space Week is Oct 4-10 -- I'd love to put together an educational
display for school kids (and for adults) if we can find a time/place
and enough interest...

Please note: 1. This is the Mangia on Mesa, not the more northerly one.
2. We don't have the private room this time -- my mistake.
3. Since we don't have the room, we won't watch a video
this time. Now... having said that... here's what I think we CAN (and
should) talk about... World Space Week is coming up in October... Let's see if we can get together and plan an event -- maybe
something that will appeal to both school kids and adults. I'd like to turn Austin into a "space town" the way Houston is...
but that will take time and effort. Rock on and space out! Hal

For now, we're a *little* further south! This is the Mangia at 8012 Mesa -- 7 pm in
the private room. Some people say they'd prefer a spot more central or
south... If you have a better place in mind, let us know! We're *thinking* about starting _When We Left Earth_

_In the Shadow of the Moon_ The plan is to meet, eat pizza, and watch a DVD. This film is an entertaining and informative documentary
by Tom Hanks, consisting mostly of interviews with the
surviving astronauts who have walked on the moon. Come and bring a friend!
